Jill's Gradely Scran Welcomes People Who Like To Cook

If, like me, you feel an evening is incomplete if you haven't spent at least an hour slaving over a hot stove, then this is the place for you. That's not to say that all of my recipes are long-winded or difficult: most of them are the opposite. It's just that I enjoy the process of putting together a meal for the people I love, and probably spend longer over it than I really need to.

The recipes on this site constitute virtually my entire culinary repertoire. Some of them tend to get wheeled out every week, others once a year if you're lucky. Every so often I'll try something new. If it's a success, it gets added to the site, and if it isn't, well, it doesn't. So everything comes with my personal guarantee that I've tasted it at least once and thought it was OK.

You might find things a bit higgledy-piggledy – some recipes give both Imperial and metric measurements, others don't. Sorry about that. When I started this site I was arrogant, selfish and lazy, and had an overly Jill-centric view of things. I've since mended my ways, and am endeavouring gradually to remedy all of this site's many faults and omissions. The problem is I'm still lazy...

Guestbook

Yes, I do have one. Here it is. Please sign it, let me know who you are, why you're here, what you think of the place, whether you'll ever come back, etc. You know the drill.

For those of you who haven't worked it out yet, guestbook is to web geek as horsepower is to some men I know. The greater the number of guestbook entries, the greater the perceived potency of the webmaster. Of course, this shouldn't really apply to chicks, but hey, nobody's perfect.
